Furthermore, the Director General of the Administrative Office of the Emirate, Honorable Sheikh Noorulhaq Anwar, described the ongoing work on the Qosh Tepa Canal as highly effective for national development. He lauded the tireless efforts of the National Development Corporation’s leadership, calling the canal a critical shift toward economic stability and self-sufficiency, while pledging continued support and cooperation from the Administrative Office.

Additionally, the Deputy Minister of Water, Honorable Mujib-ur-Rahman Omar Akhundzada, termed the project a fundamental step in national water management. Notably, the excavation work for Phase Two of the Qosh Tepa Canal is nearing completion. Currently, construction is underway on 28 bridges and various water-control structures along the canal’s route, which, upon completion, will extend the waters of the Amu Darya to the Andkhoy district of Faryab province.

During various meetings with officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, and Industry of Belarus, the Afghan delegation discussed bilateral political, economic, and commercial issues, describing such interactions as beneficial for both nations.

During the visit, the NDC CEO met with the Provincial Governor, Mullah Mohammad Naeem Akhund, and held discussions on accelerating infrastructure development and improving service delivery in the region.

The visit was also attended by Haji Ahmad, Deputy Minister of Finance, along with senior NDC officials. The delegation conducted an on-site inspection of the Eastern Health Complex, one of the most significant healthcare projects in eastern Afghanistan.

Mr. Atash underscored the importance of the project for enhancing healthcare services in the region, stressing that quality and timely completion remain top priorities. He instructed local engineers and project managers to maintain high construction standards and ensure efficient use of resources.

The CEO and his team also visited the Spin Mosque project in Jalalabad City, where Mr. Atash announced that the remaining construction work will resume shortly. He reaffirmed NDC’s commitment to mobilize all necessary resources to complete the project within the scheduled timeframe.

According to project officials, the Eastern Health Complex is currently 52% complete, with steady progress being made across multiple sections of the facility.
