Central Freight Corporation (Kamaz ) was founded in 1981 and in the following two decades, three other corporations were formed under the same name. By 2005, all four corporations were merged under the name of Central Freight Corporation. The corporation has been supplying vital and urgent freight services to the state, especially in times of emergency. The corporation prides itself on providing a high standard of service to its employees whenever it has been called upon.

Kamaz with its 346 workers, 414.5 acres of land, and 284 transport vehicles has been merged with NDC. National Development Corporation plans on expanding the

corporation’s operations beyond the current provinces of Kabul, Mazar, Kunduz, and Herat and make it a viable option for international companies to use on their export routes, with it creating 700 new job opportunities in the country.
